It was a good first time experience in Hamilton Island. The property was at great location close to everything and with Positive: The location , views and buggy facility. Also communication was great during the stay Negative: There were some issues with matters that were caused by previous guest and as it was back to back booking could not be addressed before our arrival. Most of them were fixed a couple of days later but unfortunately the coffee machine could not be fixed or replaced during our stay and were not able to have coffee during our stay.

We enjoyed our stay but felt some things were lacking and did not reflect the price. Positive: The view from the balcony and location was great. We enjoyed watching the wallabies below and the birds that visited daily. Negative: Felt things were not quite up to standard for the price that we paid. Both toilet seats/lids were loose and could have been dangerous if someone wasn’t expecting them to move and slide around. We managed to fix the one in the ensuite bathroom but the other we could not fix. I did reach out to owner, who was nice and replied in a timely manner and offered to send a handyman out to fix it. The shower head in the main bathroom was broken- the plastic cap at the end was missing and water would leak from it. The floor in this bathroom was also not very clean. The screen and doors to the balcony were quite clunky and didn’t slide very well. The lock on the rear door also seemed a little faulty and sometimes it didn’t seem to latch closed properly? I feel these things should have been picked up by the cleaners/management team and reported to the owner to be fixed. With these few things it seemed like the cost for the week didn’t quite align with the condition of the property.
